A wrong-way driver caused a deadly crash in Tulare County on Sunday morning, April 17th.
Per CHP, the incident took place just before 4:30 a.m. on Highway 99.
The wrong-way driver was traveling north within the southbound lanes before colliding head-on with another vehicle.
Sadly, the other driver died at the scene.

Drunk driving was also believed to have factored into the crash.
Investigators shut down the southbound lanes for a period of time following the wreck.
Although crashes involving wrong-way driving account for only 3% of motor vehicle accidents, they usually have a higher fatality rate as they are often head-on collisions.
According to NHTSA, more than a quarter (25%) of accident-related deaths are linked to the use of alcohol. With that being said, according to the CDC, there are 30 people that are killed everyday in a car accident as a result of an alcohol-impaired driver. That is equivalent to one death every 50 minutes.
If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
