Deadly Pedestrian Accident on 405 Freeway
Investigators are working to determine liability regarding a pedestrian accident in Westwood Monday night.
A 66-year-old man was reportedly struck on the freeway shoulder around 10:30 p.m. on April 11th.
The vehicle hit the man near Santa Monica Boulevard for unknown reasons.
Unfortunately, despite life-saving efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene.
It was also reported that the involved driver fled the scene.

According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
