Man Killed in Rollover Crash on 15 Freeway 

39-year-old Raul Negrete Gontes, from Compton, was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday morning. 

The accident was the result of an impaired driver and occurred at 3:08 a.m. on March 26th in Baker.

Gontes was in a Chevrolet Tahoe when his vehicle was rear-ended by a speeding Dodge Charger.

It was within the northbound lanes near Halloran Springs Road where the collision took place. 

Upon impact, the Tahoe overturned, veering across the center median. The Dodge also overturned and landed on its wheels.

Sadly, Gontes died at the scene. 

The driver of the Dodge showed signs of impairment and was arrested on DUI charges and for causing injury. 

The crash remains under investigation.
