Fatal Head-On Collision on Ramona Expressway
A head-on accident claimed the life of Joshua Vasquez-Escamilla in Lakeview Thursday morning.
The incident took place around 5:45 a.m. on March 17th on Ramona Expressway.
21-year-old Vasquez-Escamilla was traveling westbound in a Hyundai Sonata at the time of the crash.
His vehicle veered into opposing traffic, causing a head-on collision with an Isuzu box van.
As a result, both vehicles acquired major damage.
Sadly, Vasquez-Escamilla died at the scene.
Additionally, the other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Investigators are working to determine what may have factored into the collision.
