3 Injured, 4 Dead Following I-5 Accident 

The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal two-vehicle crash in Fresno Wednesday morning. 

It occurred just before 9:30 a.m. at Derrick Avenue on the I-5 Freeway. 

Reports included that the crash took place within the southbound lanes under unclear circumstances. 

Sadly, four people died as a result and 3 others suffered undisclosed injuries. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
