Deadly Gardena Pedestrian Accident on I-405 Freeway 

A big rig truck hit and killed Michael Jacobs, 25, in the city of Gardena on Wednesday morning. 

The fatal crash took place on January 5th around 4:40 a.m., per CBS News.

It was reported that the driver struck the man within the southbound lanes of the freeway, near Vermont Avenue. 

Multiple vehicles that were traveling behind the big rig also ran over Jacobs. 

Unfortunately, despite life-saving measures, Jacobs died at the scene. 

It is unclear at this time why the man was on the freeway.
