Eldelry Pedestrian Killed in Littlerock, CA
An unidentified pedestrian was killed in an accident in Littlerock on Monday morning, November 8th.
The incident occurred on 90th Street East just before 5 a.m., per reports.
According to CHP, an SUV hit and killed the 90-year-old man at the intersection in a dimly-lit area.
Edith Arriaga Vazquez, 37, was the driver of the SUV and was fully cooperative with authorities at the scene.
The identity of the man will be released once notification of kin.
The crash also remains under investigation.
At this time it is unclear whether or not police issued a citation or charged the involved driver.
According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
