Injuries Reported After Hit-and-Run

At least one person was hurt in a car accident that happened on Acacia Avenue Monday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol reported that two vehicles collided in the 2264 block of Acacia Avenue in Sutter. As a result of the impact, one car careened away from the road and plowed into the yard of a house along Acacia Avenue.

At around 5 p.m., emergency personnel arrived at the crash site. Paramedics rendered aid to all victims. One person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck, but additional details about the victim have not been released.

The CHP also confirmed one person involved in the collision fled the scene before authorities arrived.
