Severe Injuries Sustained in Wolf Drive Motorcycle Crash

CHP reported a major injury motorcycle crash in Nevada County, CA on Sunday, August 14th. 

It was reported that a 38-year-old man was driving a Suzuki with his 7-year-old son sitting in front of him. 

The two were traveling on Wolf Drive when the father struck a tree for unknown reasons. 

Upon impact, the boy was ejected from the bike. 

The boy sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center. 

Additionally, the father was also left with moderate injuries but declined medical treatment. 

Investigators are actively working to determine what may have led up to the crash.

Neither drugs or alcohol played a role. 

According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads in California. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:
