Fatal Crash Harbor 110 Freeway, Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles

A fatal crash on the southbound Harbor 110 Freeway at the Slauson Avenue on ramp left four people dead Thursday night in South Los Angeles.

Authorities reported the fiery, solo-vehicle crash occurred around 11:43 p.m. on June 15th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and ABC 7 News.

LAFD crews responded to the scene and located an overturned vehicle engulfed in flames with the people trapped inside.

The California Highway Patrol reported the sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed as it traveled southbound on the freeway. The driver reportedly lost control after it veered to the right shoulder and struck a sound barrier prior to it bursting into flames.

It’s unknown what circumstances led up to the fatal 110 Freeway crash, but CHP officials are investigating the crash.
