Taylor Romine, 23, Rami Abdulrazak, 27, Identified as Victims of Crash
Taylor Camille Romine, 23, Rami Abdulrazak, 27, were among four killed and one injured in a head-on crash on Highway 14 near Red Rock Canyon State Park in Kern County.
The deadly crash occurred at around 8:41 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29th, just south of Horse Canyon Road, according to the Kern County Sheriff Coroner.
The coroner’s office released all four victim’s names as: Taylor Camille Romine, 23, of Huntington Beach, Rami Abdulrazak, 27, of Yorba Linda, Ronald Eric Dene, 56, of Los Angeles and Gregg Ray Sauer, 61, of Lancaster.
Gregg Ray Sauer was reportedly driving a Mercedes southbound on Highway 14 when he allegedly crossed over into oncoming traffic to pass another motorist, KGET Reports. That’s when the Mercedes collided with a Jeep driven by Taylor Romine, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics responded and located four people with fatal injuries including Taylor Romine, her passenger, Rami Abdulrazak, Gregg Sauer and his passenger, Ronald Dene.
A third person, identified in the news as Jordan Romine, 24, was riding as a passenger in the Jeep driven by her sister Taylor. She survived with serious injuries and was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
Investigators continue to work on the cause of the crash on Highway 14.
