Luis Anton, Morgan Velazquez Laselle Street Fatal Crash in Moreno Valley

Morgan Velazquez, 26, and Luis Anton, 37, both of Moreno Valley, died in a crash Monday morning at Laselle Street at Calle Agua, Moreno Valley

The head-on collision occurred around 4:43 a.m. on June 19th, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The two men were driving separate vehicles and neither one had any passengers with them.

One of the men was driving a 2001 Toyota Celica. The driver reportedly hit the center median on Lasselle Street while traveling at high speed. The Toyota crossed over into the opposing traffic and crashed head-on with a 2008 Nissan Maxima driven by the other man, police said.

Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both men died within minutes of the crash.

Investigators are working to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
