Two-Vehicle Crash at Park Way and Fifth Avenue

A suspected impaired driver caused a two-vehicle collision in Chula Vista on Friday morning, January 21st.

It was around 10:44 a.m. when the accident occurred at the intersection of Park Way and Fifth Avenue. 

Per reports, an eastbound Ford pulled out into the path of an Infiniti which was traveling south. 

Both vehicles collided, resulting in minor injuries of two occupants of the Infiniti. Paramedics transported both people to a local hospital for treatment. 

Police reported that the Ford smelled like marijuana which led to the driver being arrested and booked into jail. 

In addition, authorities shut down the intersection for investigation and cleanup purposes.
