Justin Rodrigues ID’d as Man Killed in Highway 101 Collision
Two vehicles collided head-on in San Luis Obispo Sunday morning, April 3rd.
CHP reported that the collision occurred on Highway 101 along the Cuesta Grade at 9:43 a.m.
A southbound Nissan, driven by Justin Rodrigues, 18, spun out of control for unknown reasons.
As a result, the Nissan then crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided with a Ford Fusion, driven by Sandra Gastelum.
Both Gastelum and the Nissan passenger, Kenneth Rocha, sustained major injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.
Sadly, Rodrigues, a Lemoore resident, died at the scene of the crash.
Investigators are working to piece together all of the details of the accident.
