January 15, 2021: JT Legal Group, a law corporation that specializes in personal injury cases successfully obtained a $1.1 million settlement on behalf of their client. This litigation arose out of a rear-end collision that occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m on September 25th, 2018. 

The accident took place at the Highland Blvd exit just off the 101 freeway. Our client was at a complete stop just before he was rear-ended. The impact of the collision was so strong it forced his vehicle into the vehicle in front of him. Our client felt his injuries immediately after the collision and he needed to be transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Numerous tests were conducted on our client to reveal the severity of the injuries. Our client suffered pain in his cervical spine, upper back, and head. He also suffered migraine headaches that lasted months which caused him to have anxiety, depression, and insomnia. 

There are approximately 1.7 million rear-end collisions that occur in the United States annually. 1,700 of those rear-end collisions have been reported as fatalities. According to insurance statistics, distracted drivers are responsible for almost 80 percent of all car crashes and 65 percent of near-collisions in the United States and every day about 8 people in the United States are killed in crashes involving a distracted driver.
