Yosue Gutierrez Arrested for DUI Crash in Santa Clarita, CA

Authorities are investigating a DUI crash that happened in Santa Clarita. Police have detained Yosue Gutierrez for a potential DUI crash that took place on the 5 Freeway in Castaic.

The California Highway Patrol group said that the 24-year-old Palmdale man was under the influence when the crash happened.

The driver, Yosue Gutierrez was in a 2013 Chevy Malibu north on the 5 Freeway in Castaic. CHP said he slammed into another vehicle, south of Parker Road. News reports stated the accident took place at around 8:50 p.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.

Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP soon arrested and charged Yosue Gutierrez with felony DUI.

They took him to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail in lieu of a $176,000 bail. Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down following the Castaic crash.
