Woman Claimed the Life of a 5-year-old girl in Crash

A woman was sentenced to a probation of three years for a car accident that took the life of a little girl in Southwest Bakersfield last year.

Emily Guillen-Casillas, 5, died in November of 2017 after she was struck by a vehicle driven by Marina Cambray at the intersection of California Spring Drive and Harris Road in Southwest Bakersfield. The grandmother of Emily was also struck but she survived and lost a leg.

Cambray pleaded no contest to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and the misdemeanor charge of driving without a license was dropped.
