Fatal Head-On Collision Reported on Dillard Road
Two vehicles collided head-on in Wilton, California on Sunday morning, leaving one woman dead.
It was on July 24th when Arla Gustafson, 79, was driving westbound in a Toyota Corolla.
She went off the right shoulder for unknown reasons and then overcorrected, causing her to go into the eastbound lanes.
Her vehicle crashed head-on with a Hyundai, leaving Gustafson and the other driver trapped in their vehicles.
Paramedics rushed Gustafson to Kaiser South Hospital where she sadly died due to her injuries.
The condition of the Hyundai driver and 12-year-old passenger is unknown at this time.
Investigators are actively working to determine the cause of the crash.
