Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Artesia Boulevard 

A teenage driver hit and killed 48-year-old Willie Jackson in Long Beach last Thursday night.

The incident took place on February 10th on Artesia Boulevard around 8:30 p.m.

Per the Long Beach Police Department, a 17-year-old boy was driving a Lincoln MKS when he struck Jackson.

As a result, the pedestrian became trapped underneath the vehicle and sadly died at the scene. 

The boy stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

Authorities also determined that the boy was driving without a license at the time of the accident. He was released into the custody of a parent following the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.
