Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision at H Street and Holly Avenue 

Two vehicles collided on Friday afternoon, November 5th leaving an elderly woman dead in Oxnard. 

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 4:40 p.m. at H Street and Holly Avenue. 

84-year-old Virginia Dougherty was heading westbound in her vehicle when she collided with a northbound car. 

Paramedics rushed Dougherty to Ventura County Medical Center where she ended up passing away on Sunday. 

The other driver, a 40-year-old Oxnard man, was taken to Community Memorial Hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown. 

An active investigation is underway to determine the cause.
