Drivers Was Seriously Injured As The Result of a Head-On Collision October 20th.
The two vehicles collided on US Highway 395 in Victorville at around 12:58 a.m., per reports.
For reasons unknown, a southbound Honda CR-V drifted into the northbound lane before hitting a Freightliner head-on.
The collision took place near La Mesa Road and left the driver of the Honda with serious injuries.
They were taken to a trauma center for treatment.
No other injuries were reported and authorities also issued a closure of the highway for several hours.
Investigators are actively working to determine what may have factored into the collision.
Head-on collisions are without a doubt the most dangerous types of crashes. They may only account for 2% of accidents, however they make up 10% of all deadly crashes.
