D Street Accident Leaves Two Dead
Multiple vehicles collided in Victorville on Tuesday morning, June 14th.
Reports included that the crash took place at 5:47 a.m. within the 14600 block of D Street.
A Chrysler Sebring, pickup truck, and tractor-trailer were among the vehicles involved.
It is unclear, however, what led up to the accident.
The pickup ended up on the side of the roadway down an embankment.
Additionally, the big rig sustained moderate front-end damage and the Chrysler had extensive damage.
Sadly, two people were killed as a result. Their identities are being withheld at this time pending notification of kin.
Another victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police issued a closure of D Street in both directions for a period of time as investigators worked at the scene.
An active investigation remains underway.
Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
