1 Killed, 1 Hurt in Collision on 92nd Street

At least one person died following a traffic accident that occurred on 92nd Street Tuesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Officials said a road crash took place in the 725 block of West 92nd Street in Vermont Vista. The exact number of vehicles involved in the wreck; and their make and model have not been revealed thus far.

Deadly Car Accident in Vermont Vista

Shortly after 5:39 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. Responding paramedics reportedly found one person trapped in the mangled car. Firefighters worked extensively to pull out the victim, but they were sadly determined to be beyond medical. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

The dispatch mentioned a second person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance was requested for possible transport of the victim to the hospital.
