Jorge Romero Arrested in DUI Hit-and-Run Collision

Two vehicles collided at an intersection in Upland on Sunday night, resulting in the death of Robert Myer.

The fatal collision occurred on December 12th just before 5 p.m. 

According to reports, Jorge Romero was under the influence when he collided with Myer at North 13th Avenue and East 9th Street. 

The 42-year-old rider was rushed to San Antonio Regional Hospital where he sadly died during treatment. 

Romero fled the scene and was later located and arrested. He is facing charges of vehicular manslaughter, felony hit-and-run and felony DUI.  

The crash remains under investigation.
