Two-Vehicles Involved in Rollover Crash in City of Industry

On Tuesday morning, August 17th, two vehicles were involved in a rollover collision in the City of Industry.

The collision happened on the 60 freeway at Crossroads Parkway around 4:00 a.m.

According to reports, the two vehicles involved were a black SUV and a gray pickup truck. Both were overturned on their roofs when CHP officers arrived.

One unidentified person was trapped inside of their vehicle following the crash.

The pickup truck reportedly was the first to overturn and was struck by the Honda SUV shortly after. Numbers one through four lanes were blocked on the freeway as a result.

Los Angeles County Firefighters responded to help those injured. One person was transported to the hospital with major injuries according to CHP.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash to determine who was at fault. Witnesses are advised to contact CHP.

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes.
