Two Teens From Riverdale Killed In Solo-Vehicle Crash

California Highway Patrol officials said there was a report of a solo-vehicle traffic collision on Walnut Avenue, north of Elkhorn Avenue near Caruthers. The officials upon arrival said they found two male occupants in a 1998 Honda Civic who were pronounced dead at the scene. CHP said 19-year-old driver of the Civic was driving southbound on Walnut Avenue approaching Elkhorn Avenue at a high speed and was unable to control the car as it spun out of control and onto the west dirt shoulder, resulting in death of both the driver and his 19-year-old passenger, both from Riverdale.
