Driver Crashes into Two People on Cadillac Avenue
An SUV driven by a woman crashed into a retaining wall in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 2 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Cadillac Avenue.
Due to the impact, two adult male pedestrians were hit and one sustained severe lower body trauma.
The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and the another man sustained minor injuries.
Additionally, the female driver was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Investigators are actively working to determine what may have factored into the crash.
According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
