Two Killed in Long Beach, CA on 91 Freeway Due too Collision

As a result of a car driving on the wrong side of the road, two people were killed in a head-on collision which occurred over the weekend on Sunday morning, July 25th. At approximately 5:20 a.m. a Honda and Chrysler collided going eastbound on the 91 freeway at Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach, California. 

Prior to the collision, numerous 911 calls were made by those witnessing the Honda on the wrong side of the freeway. Reports included the driver at speeds of at least 90 MPH while driving on the 5 and 91 freeways near State College and Beach Boulevards. 

It wasn’t long after CHP responded that they were notified of the crash. Although there was a third vehicle affected by the crash, no injuries were reported regardless of the damage done to their vehicle. 

Victims of the crash were known as Erin Marlow, 30 years of age from Hemet, CA and Sol Mitchell-Hall, 21, from Palmdale, CA. 

Following the crash all lanes heading eastbound on the 91 freeway were shut down for several hours.
