Two Killed On Christmas Eve

Two people who were killed in a Christmas Eve. crash on State Route 78 in Ramona have been identified by the medical examiner of San Diego.

On Monday, Christian Diaz, a minor, and Gonzalo Rodriguez, 44, died in head-on collision on SR-78 near W. Haverford Road just after 11 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.

Rodriguez was driving westbound on SR-78 when he lost control of the Toyota Camry. He crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the truck. Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene.
