Fatal Motorcycle Crash on North Golden State Boulevard

32-year-old Owen McDonald has been ID’d as the man who was killed in a traffic accident on Monday afternoon.

The fatal crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on November 8th on North Golden State Boulevard and Pedras Road.

McDonald was reportedly riding his motorcycle northbound prior to crashing into the driver’s side of a Hyuandi Accent.

The driver of the Hyuandi was in the process of making a left turn from Pedras Road onto North Golden State Boulevard.

The female driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

McDonald was also rushed to a local hospital where he ended up succumbing to his injuries.

Authorities shut down the area partially for about five hours as a result.

The crash remains under investigation.

JT Legal Group sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Owen McDonald.

Drivers who are making left-turns are usually at fault in these types of accidents. This is because oncoming traffic typically has the right-of-way and drivers are expected to yield.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may be entitled to wrongful death benefits.

It is also important to remember that in the state of California a person involved in a car accident who has sustained injuries has to file a claim within two years of the accident.
