Highway 99 Crash Results in Injuries

Investigators are working to determine fault regarding a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Tulare on Wednesday afternoon.

It was about 4:15 p.m. on February 9th when a total of 3 vehicles collided.

A Chevrolet Malibu, Toyota Rav4, and Honda Accord were involved within the northbound lanes. It is unclear; however, what factored into the collision.

Three people were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Authorities also shut down the northbound lanes of the highway for a period of time for investigation purposes.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
