Trucker Convicted For Causing Fatal Crash in Mojave Desert
Steven Kilty of Apache Junction has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter for a crash in the Mojave Desert.
The truck driver parked his rig in the middle of a California road and took a nap that translated into a resulting bus crash that killed one person and injured seven. Kilty parked his tractor-trailer in the right lane of a road on the property, turned off the lights and failed to put out safety reflectors before going to sleep. He now faces up to eight years in federal prison.
