State Route 95 Fatal Accident Kills San Diego Man

78-year-old Timothy McGregor was killed on State Route 95 on Saturday morning in San Ysidro.

The deadly accident occurred on October 30th around 6:43 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway. 

McGregor was a passenger in a Chevrolet pickup truck when the driver hit a bump in the road. As a result, their boat trailer became detached causing the two to pullover. 

When McGregor got out of the car to reattach, reports stated that the trailer was sticking out into the slow lane. 

A driver passing by then struck the boat trailer, pushing both the trailer and truck into the guardrail.

McGregor was hit as a result, and the boat ended up falling in the roadway. 

The passing vehicle sustained major front-end damage, however it is unknown whether or not anyone else was injured. 

McGregor sadly died at the scene.
