Three Vehicle Collision

Three vehicles collided on Tuesday morning in Fillmore on October 26th.

According to reports, the collision took place around 7:40 a.m. between Trestle Way and Fish Hatchery Road.

CHP reported a Nissan Sentra, pickup truck and a 3rd unidentified vehicle were among those involved.

It is unclear at this time what caused the collision.

Due to the impact, the driver of the Nissan became trapped inside of the vehicle.

The Nissan also suffered front-end damage and the Fillmore Fire Department had to extricate the driver from the vehicle

Tow trucks were also needed to remove both the Nissan and pickup truck from the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.

It is also important to remember that in the state of California a person involved in a car accident who has sustained injuries has to file a claim within two years of the accident.
