Four-Vehicle Collision on State Route 79

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Temecula Tuesday afternoon. 

A white truck, Lexus, Subaru Outback and white van were among those involved. 

The collision occurred on State Route 79 on March 29th at an unclear time. 

One person suffered unspecified injuries as a result and was taken to Temecula Valley Hospital for treatment. 

Authorities issued a closure of a portion of SR 79 as crews worked at the scene. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded. 

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
