Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision on Auld Road 

A Buick Regal and Jeep Cherokee collided in French Valley Sunday afternoon, July 10th. 

The crash sadly resulted in the death of an unidentified 17-year-old girl. 

It was around 12:42 p.m. when the vehicles crashed on Ault Road at Pourroy Road. 

The 47-year-old female driver of the Buick made a left-hand turn into the path of the Jeep, causing the collision.

The Jeep also overturned multiple times upon impact. 

It was also reported that the girl was in the Jeep and ejected onto the sidewalk. 

No injuries were reported from the driver of the Jeep. 

In addition, the Buick driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment. 

An active investigation remains underway.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
