T-Bone Collision Causes Injuries to One Person
A Wednesday morning car accident left one person with injuries in Paso Robles on Wednesday morning.
The traffic accident occurred on September 29th around 11:15 a.m. on Highway 101 at Wellsona Road.
According to CHP, a Hyundai Kona failed to yield prior to making a left turn on northbound Highway 101.
As a result, the Hyundai t-boned a southbound Nissan Frontier traveling at 65 MPH.
Due to the impact, the Nissan overturned and landed on its wheels in the center median area.
The driver of the Nissan suffered pain in the left hand, however did not seek medical treatment.
There were not any injuries reported from the driver of the Hyuandi.
Additionally, Highway 101 had one lane closed for about an hour following the crash.
According to statistics, T-bone collisions account for 13% of all traffic accidents and 18% of all fatal accidents.
The NHTSA has concluded that approximately 8,000 people are killed each year as the result of T-bone collisions.
It is also important to remember that oncoming traffic always has the right-of-way.
