Interstate 680 Crash Results in Injuries
Seven vehicles were involved in a collision in Sunol, CA on Tuesday evening.
CHP reported that the accident took place at 6:11 p.m. within the northbound lanes of Interstate 680.
A Tesla Model 3 was one of the vehicles involved and it sustained a broken front axle as a result.
It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.
An unspecified number of people suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Another person sustained a head injury and was transported to a hospital.
Investigators also shut down the northbound lanes of the freeway for a period of time following the wreck.
The crash remains under investigation to determine fault.
