Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash Kills Man in Laguna Beach 

A Costa Mesa resident, ID’d as Stanley Isaacs, 60, was hit and killed by a vehicle last Thursday. 

The incident took place in Laguna Beach at the intersection of South Coast Highway and Pearl Street. 

It was at 9:38 p.m. when a hit-and-run driver struck Isaacs and his wife Cathy on August 11th. 

Both were rushed to the hospital where sadly, Isaccs died due to his injuries. 

Cathy was later released from the hospital with minor injuries. 

It was reported that the two were within a marked, and lit crosswalk when the crash occurred. Isaacs saved his wife by pushing her out of the way, per witnesses. 

The two were just leaving their anniversary dinner. 

The involved driver fled the scene; however, she turned himself in less than 24 hours following the crash.
