Man Killed on River Road near Azevedo Road 

One of the two people who died in a Monday morning collision have been identified as 38-year-old Patrick Gomez.

The fatal accident occurred at 5:22 a.m. on February 21st between a Nissan Maxima and Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Per reports, the Nissan was traveling south before it collided head-on with the pickup. 

The pickup truck was allegedly attempting to pass a semi-truck when the collision took place. 

Upon impact, the truck caught fire and killed Gomez along with the unidentified female driver. 

The crash remains under investigation.
