Sherman Oaks Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 405

Two vehicles and a motorcycle collided in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday evening.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:05 p.m. on Interstate 405, just south of Ventura Boulevard.

As a result of the crash, the No. 1 lane was blocked off by the motorcycle and rider following the crash.

A SigAlert was also issued for about half an hour due to the closing of the No. 1 & 2 lanes as well as the HOV lanes.

Minor injuries were also sustained and an ambulance arrived at the scene for the person injured.

CHP is actively investigating the accident to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
