Woman Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident 

A 27-year-old woman ID’d as ShawnKel Washington was fatally struck by a vehicle in Los Angeles on Saturday. 

The incident took place on July 2nd at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Wilton Place. 

The vehicle struck Washington inside of a crosswalk for unknown reasons. 

Sadly, the woman suffered severe injuries and died as a result. 

It was also reported that the driver fled the scene after the accident. 

An active investigation remains underway.
