Female Pedestrian Killed at Slauson and Alviso Avenue
33-year-old Shannon Sloan has been identified as the woman who died in a pedestrian accident Saturday evening.
It was around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Slauson and Alviso Avenue when a vehicle struck the woman.
At this time it is unclear what led up to the crash on February 26th in Hyde Park, Los Angeles.
The involved driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative with authorities.
Sadly, Sloan died at the scene from blunt force trauma.
Authorities also shut down the intersection for a period of time following the accident.
Investigators are actively working to determine fault.
