Solo-Vehicle Collision Leaves Teenage Girl Dead
19-year-old Serenity Lira, of Fontana, died in a solo-vehicle collision in Banning on Saturday morning.
Lira was in the vehicle with another person when it crashed on the Interstate 10 Freeway around 12:35 a.m.
She suffered major injuries and was sadly declared dead at the scene.
The other person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. It is unclear at this time if Lira was the driver or passenger in the vehicle.
CHP is actively investigating the cause of the crash.
