Semi-Truck Jackknifed Highway 395 San Bernardino County

A semi-truck jackknifed in a crash Tuesday morning involving a car on US Highway 395, just south of Hoffman Road in Atolia.

The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of US 395 about 3:45 a.m. on Nov. 29th near Randsburg in the Mojave Desert, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A driver in a white Chevrolet Malibu and the semi-truck pulling double trailers collided at the intersection, but the events leading up to the collision are unknown at this time. CHP officials reported debris scattered across the highway following the wreck.

CAL Fire responded and extricated a driver from one of the vehicles who was trapped in their vehicle. Paramedics responded and transported at least one of the people hurt in the crash.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
