Four Hurt in Traffic Accident at Robben and Midway Road

Minor injuries were sustained in a crash involving a semi-truck Thursday morning in Dixon.

The crash took place at 11:13 a.m. when the truck failed to stop at the stop sign.

As a result, the truck crashed into an SUV at the intersection of Robben and Midway Roads.

Upon impact, the SUV overturned onto its roof.

All occupants of the SUV, including two children and two adults, suffered minor injuries.

It is unclear whether or not either of them were taken to the hospital for treatment.

An active investigation is underway.

Statistics have shown that approximately 70% of motor-vehicle accidents are a result of stop sign violations. These accidents often happen at an angle rather than head on and about one-third result in some sort of injury.

Although stop signs are in place to prevent accidents, unfortunately not everyone adheres. This is why it is essential to always pay attention and avoid any distractions on the road.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation.

It is also important to remember that in the state of California a person involved in a car accident who has sustained injuries has to file a claim within two years of the accident.
