Scooter Accident Causes Toddler Fatality
On Thursday evening, an unfortunate scooter accident impacted the life of a two-year-old child. The tragic incident happened at 8:05 PM near a parking lot exit on 22 Creek Road via Cross Creek Apartments.
Investigating the Deadly Scooter Accident
The two-year-old was riding her scooter on the sidewalk outside of her apartment complex. A motorist driving a Honda Odyssey struck the child. Drugs nor alcohol do not play a part in this unfortunate scooter accident. The Honda Odyssey motorist obliged and remained at the accident scene. The victim’s name has not been released.
There was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
