Driver, Passenger Hurt in Collision at Burson Road and State Route 12

Saturnina Reyes, a 61-year-old woman, suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred in the area of Burson Road and State Route 12.

The Calaveras Enterprise News reported two vehicles crashed into each other at the intersection in Jamestown. On November 29, 69-year-old Antonio Reyes Jr. was driving with Saturnina traveling on Burson. When the man approached the intersection at SR-12, Antonio attempted to cross the highway and ended up driving into the path of a 2004 Dodge Ram.

Officials said the Dodge slammed into the the passenger side of the Toyota. When rescue teams arrived at the scene, they found Saturnina and Antonio trapped in the mangled car. Responding firefighters worked extensively to pull out the victims. Medical personnel rendere aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities requested a helicopter to airlift Saturnina and Antonio to Kaiser South for treatment of major injuries.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident that happened at Burson Road and State Route 12.
