Four-Vehicle Collision on 4th Street

Multiple vehicles collided in Santa Monica on Friday evening, resulting in a fire on April 1st.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on 4th Street, between Broadway and Colorado Avenue.

Per reports, one vehicle was exiting a parking garage before it collided with another for unknown reasons.

Two other vehicles then became involved, including a Tesla.

There were no passengers in either of the vehicles, and one person was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Upon impact, one of the vehicles also became engulfed in flames.

An active investigation is underway to determine fault.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
