1 Injured in Car Accident at Washington Boulevard near Norwalk Boulevard in Santa Fe Springs

One person was injured in a bicycle accident that happened on Friday morning in Santa Fe Springs.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:15 a.m. in the area of Washington Boulevard near Norwalk Boulevard.

A vehicle reportedly struck a bicyclist on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

The bicyclist was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
